Window blinds measuring instructions
Inside Recess Measurement
Inside recess fitting refers to blinds that hang INSIDE the window recess. First measure the width of the window recess from wall to wall in three places. Then measure the drop by taking the measurement from the top of the recess to the window sill in three places. Take the smallest measurement for both the width and drop. We will deduct the correct amount from the indicated width measurement to ensure that the blind fits into your recess.
Exact Size Measurement
Your Blind will be made to the exact width you specify. Also know as Actual blind size. Outside recess fitting refers to blinds that hang OUTSIDE the window recess, on top of the window. If you want the blind to hang outside the window recess, you need to tick the “Actual Size” box in the order form. In that case we will make no adjustment to your width measurements, hence they will correspond to the actual size of the blind. Measure the exact area you would like the blind to cover in the format of width x drop in centimetres to the nearest 0.1cm.
